Summer Fun! Chapter Nine Nuclear McKinlay Family Reunion

How can a week go by so quickly after you have waited for it for two years? Fortunately, we can return to that time by returning to family blogs to refresh living memories! Our family convened at the Park City Marriott Mountainside from August 3 to August 10th, 2008 for a fun filled week. Our theme for the week was "Mission Possible" and we had custom T-shirts and bandanas with our points of origin on them as well. We began our reunion by being transported (what a treat - we felt like rock stars!) to the Salt Lake City Temple on the ZRIIVost (provided by Clint) and attended a session and that enjoyed a late dinner together. Thursday night we were delighted with a Home Evening on Temples presented by Alex. Friday night we had a joint Talent Show with the Purday family (Lance's new wife, Deanna's family) that we all enjoyed immensely. We concluded with a testimony meeting on Saturday night with many beautiful thoughts and feelings shared and expressed. During the week we swam, rode the Alpine Slide and Alpine Coaster, the Merry-Go-Round, joined in family relays for the children with prizes, hiked, walked, ran, skipped, jumped - it just seemed we were in constant motion! Delicious meals were planned by family members as Liz and Nate, Larisa and Jared, Rod and Amy, and Mom and Dad - there was always something yummy to eat! Thanks to all who gave so much; we are truly blessed and love to be with family!
